The Beginning of DAS BOAT

Plans from Stevenson Projects. It cost a fortune to have them photocopied full size and laminated (I was afraid I'd ruin the originals). I forgot to ask "how much" before getting this done.




The would-be boat builder consulting with granddaughter Kayleigh. We're sitting on the clear fir planks to be laminated to form the keel. Grandma was a little concerned we were going to build the whole boat in the living room, but we just lofted the keel there.







Two layers of the keel laminated together. Glued (polyurethane) screwed and clamped. "There's no such thing as too many clamps.
